Ken & Karen Poates

Ken and Karen Poates, originally from Virginia, were married on St. Thomas in 1999 and began their search to find their piece of paradise in the Caribbean. After traveling extensively throughout the Caribbean islands, they chose St. Croix because of the island’s intrinsic beauty, but more importantly, because they discovered that St. Croix is the friendliest island in the Caribbean.

Ken is a retired high school guidance counselor and football coach, and Karen formerly worked in the banking industry. After retiring from their primary careers, they decided to work together in the real estate industry. Ken and Karen became licensed real estate agents in 2000. They work with the motto “Working together for you”. This philosophy along with special attention paid to their customers enabled them to become top producers in their real estate office in the resort area of Lake Anna, Virginia.

Ken and Karen found their piece of paradise in 2005 and moved to St. Croix. They are excited about bringing their real estate experience to Coldwell Banker Land-de Wilde Realty.
